We built Coastal Cure with that customer squarely in mind, so here’s an honest walkthrough of what the visit actually looks like.
Before you leave the house
Bring a valid, government-issued photo ID showing you’re 21 or older. A driver’s license, state ID, passport, or military ID all work, and you do not need to be a Maryland resident, which is why we see so many customers from Delaware and Virginia. If you’re a registered medical patient, bring your Maryland medical card too.
Cash remains the most widely accepted payment method at Maryland dispensaries, so it’s worth having some on you. We do offer additional payment options at the register.
Walking in
Coastal Cure is a walk-in dispensary. No appointment, ever. A team member checks your ID at the door, which is standard at every licensed dispensary in Maryland. It’s the law, and it takes about ten seconds.
Reading the menu
Inside, products are grouped by category: flower, pre-rolls, vapes and cartridges, concentrates, edibles, tinctures, and topicals. If you already know what you like, great. If you don’t, that’s what the team is for. Tell us the kind of experience you’re after, whether that’s relaxed, social, sleep, or focus, and we’ll walk you through what fits. We’re not going to steer you toward the most expensive thing in the case.
A tip that saves people money: tell us your budget up front. There’s almost always a solid option at a lower price point, and we’d rather you come back than spend big once.
The purchase limits
Maryland caps how much you can buy. The limits are 1.5 ounces of flower, 12 grams of concentrate, or 750 mg of total THC in other products like edibles, or an equivalent combination. Worth knowing: this is a per-customer, per-day limit tracked statewide, not a per-transaction one. Visiting a second dispensary later the same day won’t reset it. Our register system tracks this automatically, so you don’t have to do the math.
Checking out
You’ll check out at the register like any retail purchase. Everything comes in compliant, child-resistant packaging, and your receipt includes lab-testing information for what you bought.
Your first night with it
Cannabis affects people differently, and the first time is the least predictable. Start low and go slow. If you’re trying an edible, give it a full two hours before deciding you want more. The single most common first-timer mistake is taking a second dose at the twenty-minute mark because the first “isn’t working.”
